A segment about Maternal Depression:

For the past several months, the Better Living team has been working with the Boston Public Health Commission along with state and federal partners to engage the community in a conversation about maternal depression; an epidemic impacting thousands of families in New England.

We began the conversation at a recent event called Girls’ Night Out at the Healthworks Foundation at Codman Square featuring the Commonwealth’s First Lady Diane Patrick. More than a hundred women attended. Many of them, like My Child Family Partner Candice Keshwar encounter depression every day.

The Healthworks at Codman Square is a foundation, in partnership with Codman Square Health Center created to provide comprehensive fitness care to Dorchester residents on a sliding scale. For more information on the foundation and how you can help click here.
